This policy explains what personal data the Yerevan Youth Orchestra ("we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the Republic of Armenia Law on Personal Data Protection.

Data we collect

Account & registration: name, email address, role (applicant or jury). Applications: instrument, biography, supporting video uploads, and any additional fields you fill in the multi-step application form. Communications: messages you send through the contact form. Technical data: IP address, browser type, approximate country (from Cloudflare), and pages visited. Some technical data is collected by third parties (Google reCAPTCHA, Google Analytics) — see "Third parties" below.

Legal basis for processing

Performance of a contract — handling your application or jury participation. Legitimate interests — protecting the site against abuse (reCAPTCHA), keeping it operational. Consent — analytics cookies, only when you click "Accept all" in the consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the cookie-consent cookie or via your browser settings.

How long we keep data

Application data is retained for the duration of the audition cycle and up to 24 months afterwards for statistical and legal purposes. Account data is retained while your account is active. Video uploads are deleted within 12 months after the cycle ends. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by Google Analytics.

Third parties

Google reCAPTCHA — anti-spam, processes IP and browser signals (Google LLC, USA). Google Analytics 4 — usage measurement, only with your consent (Google LLC, USA). DigitalOcean Spaces — video file storage (DigitalOcean LLC, USA/EU regions). Cloudflare — content delivery and security (Cloudflare Inc., USA). Hosting infrastructure — Kubernetes cluster operated by us.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
