General Info

If you aspire to become a member of the Yerevan Youth Orchestra and create within a high-level artistic environment — collaborating with internationally recognized professionals and leading musicians — we invite you to submit your application and take part in the orchestra auditions.

The auditions are organized to select talented young musicians for the orchestra. Detailed information on instrumental groups is provided in a separate appendix.

Auditions are open to applicants born between July 1, 2003, and June 30, 2014.
PARTICIPATION IS MANDATORY FOR CURRENT ORCHESTRA MEMBERS.

The evaluation will be conducted by a jury composed of internationally recognized musicians. Each instrumental group will be assessed by a dedicated professional panel.

The selection process follows a multi-stage professional system, including:

  • Preliminary video audition
  • Interview
  • Orchestral trial period

Only candidates who successfully pass each stage will proceed to the next.

Preliminary Stage (Video Audition)

The preliminary stage will be conducted online.

Applications and video submissions will be accepted from April 30, 2026, to June 30, 2026 (inclusive).

Applicants are required to complete the application form and submit a video recording with a duration of no less than 5 minutes and no more than 15 minutes.

The choice of repertoire is free, if it meets the program requirements specified for each instrumental group in the appendix.

The video must be recorded in a single take — without editing, cuts, or any post-production processing — and must not be older than one month.

The audio must be natural and unprocessed, it must be with no added resonance.

Throughout the recording, the performer’s face, hands, and instrument must be clearly visible at all times. Please, make sure there is no background lighting.

Applications that do not meet the specified requirements will not be considered.

During the preliminary stage, the jury may select all candidates who demonstrate a high level of performance and meet the professional standards required by the orchestra, without a fixed numerical limit.

Candidates who pass the preliminary stage will receive, via email, the full orchestra regulations and detailed information regarding the schedule of the next stage (interview).

The jury’s decision is final and not subject to appeal.
