The concert “The Sea as Landscape and Symbol” brings together two remarkable works inspired by the spirit, movement, and emotional depth of the sea. Edward Elgar’s Sea Pictures combines lyrical vocal expression with rich orchestral colors, while Mendelssohn’s vibrant “Italian” Symphony captures the energy and atmosphere of Mediterranean landscapes.

Performed by the Yerevan Youth Orchestra under the baton of Gianluca Marcianò, with mezzo-soprano Sarah Rappoport as soloist, the program offers audiences an evening of expressive symphonic music shaped by imagery, travel, and poetic reflection.
